The media will have a few tears to weep as their years-long hate/loveaffair with Karl Rove comes to a close. I have never understood this particular obsession of Democrats and reporters, but I think the frenzy of global coverage regarding his departure is perhaps these guys indulging some latent sadness. Rove has long been the favorite scapegoat, the pincushion, the turdblossom they love to hate. Now that he is leaving, to whom can they assign the ability to control the president like a marionette?
More disturbingly, who do Democrats think is running the country? It's long seemed that they believe that Rove is "Bush's Brain".... perhaps this orgy of media coverage is reporters and Democrats worried that nobody is left to run the ship of state now that turdblossom is gone?
